Welcome to Renaissance Viol bows

Coen Pyrenees
Coen with bows in the Pyrenees

Coen Engelhard makes wonderful bows in the South of France.
The bows are made out of Acacia wood. They have a nice articulation and a direct, focused sound emission, are stable on the string and pleasurable to hold. They pair perfectly with Renaissance model instruments, but can also lend agility and a more appropriate sound to earlier repertory on a more baroque-style instrument.

The bows are all made of abundant local wood, so you could call them sustainable.

Prices are between 400 and 1200 euro. Bows can easily be sent in a tube by post.
